Sustainable Tioga Project Print E-mail

The Tioga County Sustainable Tioga Project is a collaboration by Tioga County REAP, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tioga County, and Tioga County Economic Development & Planning. 

 

 

The Sustainable Tioga Project Committee consisted of the following individuals:

The Sustainable Tioga Project Kick-Off was held on September 13, 2007 with 19 participants.  The first semester consisted of eight consecutive four-hour sessions of classroom instruction, homework assignments and the opportunity to hear five guest speakers from various Tioga County businesses.  The semester concluded on December 13, 2007 with the team selecting a single project to create a change for the betterment of our Tioga County community.  The team is pleased to announce the selected project is Broadband/Community Connectivity

 

 

The team re-convened for the second semester on January 10, 2008 and will work together over the next ten consecutive sessions to implement their Broadband/Community Connectivity project. 

 

 

Sustainable Tioga Project Team extends their appreciation to the guest speakers, Cornell University Community and Rural Development Institute (CaRDI) and Jeff Stoke for their teaching services.
